Three Storey Residence in Kalamos, Attica

The house with an area of 590m2 was built on a plot area of 6.888m2. The siting of the house is at the highest part of the site with the most pronounced differences in height, which adjoins pine area and offers the ultimate view to the sea. Following the terrain, housing was developed in graduate volumes staged according to the slope.

The escalating volumes organize usable roofs that due to slope, have direct access to the ground. Synthetic choice was the longitudinal growth of volumes, so all spaces are oriented to the sea. The facets of each volume level do not appear uniform, allowing thus gradations of light and shadow on the facets fronts. Outdoor areas were also organized in relation to the ground, following the curves of free stone walls.
