The study deals with the redesign of two independent sections – floors in an existing building of the 60s, in the center of Athens, in order to accommodate adequately the operating needs such as teaching spaces and office spaces of a famous educational institution.
The design of one of the two floors (section 1/2), was full-scale in order to meet the operational needs and organizational requirements of the educational institution. The other floor, (section 2/2, already operating as an educational institution), designed with fewer interventions. The aim was both independent sections to obtain a uniform morphological and architectural identity.
The creation of a modern working environment, friendly welcome and comfortable daily life of students, was the primary design goal.
