Nationwide Architectural Competition “New City Hall of the Municipality of Lampeia”

The basic volume of City Hall is a parallelepiped which is being developed in the north-south axis. A screen in diverging framing organizes in plan, section and view the building.

The stone curtain marks the entrance, organizes outdoor passageways, differentiates public spaces of the building from the offices and defines the compact from the transparent part of the building.

The succession of closed semi-open and open spaces indicates the inextricable relationship of the building with its surroundings, creating a volume-light-shadow game that does not however detract from the strength of a building that seems to be born from the earth.
