Two-Storey Residence in Anoixi, Attica

The house was designed to accommodate a family of four in a plot with size 356m2. The house is organized in “T” shaped plan and ‘opened’ southwest. The design was largely determined by the requirement to maintain (even at the expense of the enclosed space), two large pine trees, which ruled the site and was the reason to develop the back garden around them.

The layout takes place on three levels with level difference between the rate of 1.50m. This gradual progression of levels, and clearly defines the structure of the building volume, so the volume is presented elsewhere as ground floor and elsewhere slightly elevated and elsewhere as an uplift lead to two floors. The visual and functional integration of the two gardens, is via the huge openings of living room.
